Welcome to Cherry Tree Class (Nursery)
Each day your child will require their book bag and suitable outdoor clothing in school.
Please can you make sure their name is on all uniform and clothing, including coats and shoes as we have found some clothes which unfortunately do not have names in and no-one has claimed them.
If you have any questions please post them here and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Mrs Goodall
Each week the children learn a new nursery rhyme. It has been proven that when children hear and sing nursery rhymes, lullabies and simple songs then we are preparing their ear, voice and brain for language development.
I'm a Little Princess 6.7.20
(Tune - I'm a little teapot)
I’m a little princess,
Here is my crown.
Here are my slippers.
And here is my gown.
If the wizard finds me, I won’t cry.
I’ll tickle him, I’ll tickle him and wave goodbye!
In an effort to comply with government guidelines, Nursery will be closed from Monday 23rd March 2020 until further notice.
However, it is our mission to support you at this time of uncertainty. With this in mind we have compiled a list of websites that will help you to keep your child active and develop their learning at the same time. Please bear in mind online safety and always supervise your child when they are using technology.
If you do not have access to the internet, then please spend time talking and playing with your child. Read lots of stories together, then act them out! Count anything and everything that you can see in the house and in your garden.
If you would like numeral cards to practise recognising and ordering numbers, and/or a name card for your child to practise writing their name, then please ring school and leave a message on the answer machine. Mrs Goodall will get back to you and arrange a time for you to pick them up.
Also remember to post photos and comments about all the lovely things you have been doing together on Tapestry. Mrs Goodall will transfer these observations to your child's online learning journal.
Each week we choose a child from The Butterfly Team and The Ladybird Team who has tried really hard. It is specific to that child and can range from 'doing good sitting', 'joining in with singing our song of the week', 'counting using 1-1 correspondence' or 'writing their name'.
From September 2017 we will be offering 30 hours of nursery provision for working parents who qualify for this government scheme. We are also offering all parents the opportunity to purchase extra nursery hours for their 3 and 4 year old children if they require them.
If you require more information please ring the school office on 01623 842683 and either talk to Mrs Goodall (Nursery Teacher) or Mrs Booth (Office Manager).
